We are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the Fall 2025 cohort of the Executive Certificate in Healthcare Management & Leadership at UTHealth Houston. This hybrid program is designed to prepare emerging and mid-level professionals to lead innovation and transformation within healthcare systems.

Program Overview
This intensive 8-week experience blends strategic leadership, financial management, and operational excellence. Participants also engage in a capstone Service Line Competition, where they present evidence-based solutions to real healthcare challenges before a panel of industry leaders.

  • Launch Date: August 29, 2025
  • Location: Houston, TX + Virtual components
  • Program Fee: $4,500 (Early Bird: $3,950 if submitted by July 19)
  • Special Rates: Available for professionals in rural healthcare settings & UT Employees
  • Application Deadline: August 2, 2025

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  • 3–5 years of healthcare experience (exceptions considered)
  • Employer support for required in-person sessions
  • Submission of resume/CV, personal statement, and letter of support

Spring 2025 Cohort Recap
The program concluded on May 30, 2025, with participants representing a wide range of roles and geographies:

·         Clinical Leadership: Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Family Nurse Practitioner, Surgical Oncologist

·         Operations & Quality: Clinical Operations Manager, Pediatric Quality Manager

·         Strategy & Innovation: Business Development Manager, Managing Director in healthcare analytics

Capstone proposals included:

·         Sepsis Coordinator Expansion

·         Breast Center of Excellence

·         Pediatric Weight Loss Clinic

Geographic Reach:
Participants came from Texas (Houston, El Paso, Frisco, Pearland), New Mexico (Albuquerque), and Nebraska (Omaha). This varied background fostered a dynamic learning environment grounded in cross-functional collaboration and shared leadership challenges.

Founded in 1967, UTHealth Houston School of Public Health was Texas' first public health school and remains a nationally ranked leader in graduate public health education.
