Doctor of Philosophy

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in a public health discipline represents outstanding scholarly achievement and signifies a capacity for independent study. This degree is intended for those who plan to pursue careers in academia and research. Most full-time students take approximately three to five years to complete the degree program. The PhD degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 48 semester credit hours.

Doctor of Public Health

The Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree signifies distinguished scholarly accomplishment and is designed for those who plan to pursue careers in advanced professional practice, academia, or community-based research. Most full-time students take approximately three to five years to complete the degree program. The DrPH degree requires successful completion of a minimum of 54 semester credit hours.
